ABOUT US Dr. Dawn Morehead’s office is a member of the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, Wake County Dental Society and the American Dental Society.  Our office has been an established resident of Wake Forest since 1986.  Our staff believes in informed, comprehensive, painless dentistry and we strive to create the best dental environment possible.  We are all certified in CPR.
	Dr. Morehead graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 1971 and worked as a pharmacist for seven years.  She went to UNC College of Dentistry and graduated in 1982 with Honors.  She practiced in Raleigh for four years and then moved to Wake Forest.  She has practiced here for 25 years.  She is a member of the Wake County Dental Society and American Dental Association.  She makes it a priority to continually update her dental knowledge through personal study and dental seminars.  She takes pride in the way the dental practice has evolved over the years.  She believes patients must first understand their dental needs before they can make an informed decision about what they want to do.  Personal History:  Dr. Morehead lifts weights, enjoys Ballroom dancing and loves crafts of all kinds.  She’s presently involved in making mosaics with shells, an art known as Sailor’s Valentines. She has a cat named Calvin and a Canary named Yanni.
	Tracey Brooks graduated from Wake Technical College to be a Certified Dental Assistant in 1991 and worked as an assistant for 6 years.  She has worked with Dr. Morehead for 13 years and has been Practice Manager for 10 of those years.  She has attended dental seminars in Chicago, Cleveland and Florida.  Personal History:  Tracey was born and raised in North Carolina.  She grew up on the family farm and still lives there. Tracey and her husband of 12 years has a 7 year old son named Carson and a 3month old son named Jack.  Carson is in the Second Grade loves to play Baseball, go swimming, and build.   Tracey is very active in her church by teaching Pre-school, singing and working in Children’s Ministry.  She enjoys family time, scrap-booking, going to the beach, working in her flowers, and spending time with her husband, Brandon.
	Angela Harrison is a graduate of Vance-Granville Community College and completed her Certified Dental Assisting Course at UNC School of Dentistry in 1996.  Angela has been a proud member of Dr. Morehead’s dental team for 19 years.  Personal History:  Angela and her husband of ten years, Jeff Leonard, have a house full of animals.  One cat named Moo-Moo Kitty, 4 dogs {Skinny Minnie, Sydney, Stormy, and Rosie}, 2 cockatiels {Chicken Nugget and Combo} and one Green Cheek Conure (Skittles) who says the phrase “Baby Bird”!  Her yard is a bird sanctuary for a number of birds, Gold Finches, Cardinals, Blue Birds, and Hummingbirds, just to name a few.  She has 4 nieces, Dylan, Brittanie, Rachel, and Rebekah who keep her busy and two great-nieces, Erica and Charis.  She enjoys reading; Stephen King and Anne Rice are her favorites.  Angela is a HUGE fan of Elvis Presley.
	MaryAnn Green graduated from Wayne Community College in 1976 as a Certified Dental Assistant.  She has 30 years experience in Dental Assisting and 7 of those years she was an Orthodontist Assistant.  She has been with Dr. Morehead for 10 years.  Personal History:  She has a 13-year-old daughter, at Cedar Creek Middle, who keeps her extremely active.  She enjoys making crafts and  flower gardening.
	Cheryl Lovio graduated from Middlesex County College in New Jersey for X-ray Certification and Dental Assisting and has been an assistant for 19 years in General and Orthodontic practices.  Cheryl has been with Dr. Morehead for 5 years.  Personal History:  Cheryl and her husband, Michael, have been married for 21 years and have two children.  Her daughter named Kimi is a student.  Her son Michael is a student at Heritage Year Round School.  She is the proud owner of many kinds of animals such as, 1 Conures, 1 Cockatoo named Madie, that will say what she thinks at anytime and 1 beagle “Snoopy”.  She enjoys spending time with her animals and family.
	Debbie Dufty In 1974 graduated from Keystone College in PA with an AAS degree and graduated from Broome Community College in New York with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene in 1976.  Over the past 30 years she has worked in many different areas of dentistry, including Pediatrics, Orthodontics and General Dentistry.  She has been with Dr. Morehead for 10 years.  Personal History:  Debbie has three children Adriane, Meghan, and Alec.  Adriane is in graduate school in Chicago.  Meghan graduated from UNC Wilmington Dec. 06.  She is currently working for Acquity Group in Chicago.  Both girls share an apartment together.  Alec is a junior at the University of Evansville in Indiana.  He is studying sports management and playing soccer for the university.
	Cynthia Stewart attended Vance-Granville College from 1978 – 1980 completing courses in secretarial science.  She has 17 years of office experience.  She has been with Dr. Morehead since January of 2004.  Personal History:  She was raised in Henderson, NC but now lives in Wake Forest.  She enjoys spending time with her family, which also live in Wake Forest.  Her hobbies include swimming, exercising, reading and music.  She spends a lot of her time singing with her band, Stillwater.
